I’m 15, can I have sex?
What is the right age for sex? | Life and style | The Guardian
If you are having, or thinking about having, sex the key thing to remember is that it should always be consensual. In the eyes of the law, you are only old enough to consent to sex or sexual activity at The law applies to everyone, regardless of gender or sexuality, in England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It is important to remember that the law is designed to protect young people from abuse, harm or being taken advantage of by adults. It is not meant to criminalise young people and there is no intention to prosecute people under the age of 16 where both mutually agree consent and where they are of a similar age. Nobody should ever feel pressured by their partner, or by their peers to have sex before they feel ready and safe. Consent means agreeing to do something freely and with full understanding of what that thing is.
THIS is the ideal age to have sex the first time!
Having sex too soon is the biggest regret of young people losing their virginity, a survey of British sexual behaviour suggests. More than a third of women and a quarter of men in their teens and early 20s admitted it had not been "the right time" when they first had sex. The latest National Survey of Sexual Attitudes and Lifestyles poll says many people may not be ready at that age. The Natsal survey, carried out every decade or so, gives a detailed picture of sexual behaviour in the UK.
A new study highlighted by The Sun , shows the amount of sex you should be having, according to your age. Researchers at the Kinsey Institute of Sex, Reproduction and Gender have identified the time in our lives when we get the most sex and why it's most important for our health. It turns out it's the millennials, people who entered young adulthood around the year , that have the most sex. The study suggests that people between the age of 18 and 29 should be having sex times a year, which works out as twice a week on average.
