While humans love participating in sexual activities, we're not the only species on Earth who do. There are animals who like sex just as much as humans do. Whether they're engaging in sexual activity all the time or just have an insatiable desire for pleasure, numerous animals are on the hunt for more than just procreation. Each of these species has its own quirks when it comes to mating, but it's shocking how similar animal mannerisms are to that of humans in some sexual situations, yet how different they can be in others.
8 Animals That Like Having Sex Way More Than Humans
By Michael Marshall. The urge to reproduce, to pass on our genes to a new generation, is one of the most powerful in our lives. This is equally true of the bewildering variety of animals with whom we share the planet. And they have an equally bewildering variety of ways of going about it. Our opinion editor Amanda Gefter recently visited an exhibition entitled The Sex Lives of Animals , which seeks to overturn the idea that animals engage in sex purely for procreation. So, here is a run-through of the huge diversity of sexual behaviours found in the animal kingdom. We begin with behaviours that are now fairly widely accepted in human society, such as promiscuity and homosexuality, before turning to stranger acts, such as necrophilia and bondage.
Scientists may have caught two animals from completely different species having consensual sex for the first time. Sex between animals of different kinds has been reported across a wide range of the animal kingdom. Those reports of very different animals are usually seen between animals that are born and bred in captivity. Most of those examples also constitute a kind of sexual harassment.
Old, poor quality film, but the urgency and pleasure still come across clearly and delightfully. You must be logged in to post wall comments. Please login or signup free.
